Special Events

PARC, The Parks and Recreation Departments of Brentwood, Maplewood and Richmond Heights provide a variety of special events around the cities. Check out all the great opportunities in your area; we hope to see you there!

Pet Photo Contest
Enter your furry friend for a chance to win a prize! Submissions will be on display in THE HEIGHTS lobby the month of February. Pre-registration required, registration opens mid-December.

Sweetheart Dance
Dance the night away with family and friends! All family members, 2+ must register. Event held in February, Pre-registration required, registration opens mid-December. 

Family Night: Bingo!

You’ll need the luck of the Irish as we host this family bingo night! All family members, 2+ must register. Event held in March.  Pre-registration required, registration opens mid-December. 

Easter 'Egg'stravaganza!
Get your basket and hop over for this kids egg hunt. Bring the camera; the bunny will be getting pictures. Event held the weekend (Saturday) before Easter weekend. Event is free and pre-registration is not required, be sure to arrive early!

Dog-Gone Egg Hunt
Dogs on leash hunt for eggs! When the dog touches one of the plastic eggs with their nose, into your basket it goes! Day-of registration or Pre-registration required, registration opens mid-December.

Tween Egg Hunt
Tweens, ages 10-14 this hunt is for you! Bring your basket and flashlight, this hunt is held in the dark. Max of 50 tweens with three chaperones for the program. Event held the weekend (Friday) before Easter weekend. Pre-registration required; registration opens mid-December. 

Adult Egg Hunt
Hippity-hop, grown-ups, it’s an adult Egg Hunt just for you! Lots of great prizes. Event held the Friday night before Easter. Pre-registration required; registration opens mid-December. 

Spring Clean Up
Twice a year we help clean up our seniors homes with help from area volunteers. Event held the first Saturday in April and we are always looking for volunteers. Contact us if you are a Richmond Heights resident, 65+ and need some assistance with general yard work.  

Tons of Transportation
Come out and see what it’s like to be in the big trucks! Children (and parents) can climb, sit and play on tractors, police cars, fire trucks and a variety of other vehicles. Tons of Transportation is held the first Saturday in May. Event is free and pre-registration is not required. 

Art Fest
Juried art and fine craft fair held along tree-lined Lindbergh Blvd. in Richmond Heights. Live music, art activities for kids, as well as Food Trucks. Admission is free and pet friendly. 

Princess Tea Party
Celebrate the lovely ladies in your life with a tea party. Dress to impress and be ready for a visit from a special princess. Event held in May. All family members, 2+ must register. Pre-registration required; registration opens mid-December.

Not Bummer Summer
Not Bummer Summer has become PARC’s summer kick off party. From water fun to messy play, your family is not going to want to miss these events! Event held in June and is free. Pre-registration is not required.

Party on the Pavement
The City of Richmond Height’s annual city festival is held the second weekend of June. Click over to our Party on the Pavement page for additional information.

Parks and Recreation Month
Since 1985, America has celebrated July as the nation’s official Parks and Recreation Month. Each year PARC plans daily activities to celebrate. Check back in late June for a calendar with all the activities. 

Superhero Training
It’s a bird, it’s a plane…it’s a superhero training party! Event held mid-September. Pre-registration required; registration opens mid-August.  Click here for more details.

Bark at the Moon, Dog Glow Walk
Bring out Fido for this fun walk along the Great Rivers Greenway Deer Creek Trail. Pre-registration or day-of registration required; registration opens mid-August.  Click here for more details.

Garage Sale
Host a sale or save your money so you can shop. Sales held in Brentwood, Maplewood and Richmond Heights. If you host a sale, sign up and pick up a packet at THE HEIGHTS starting mid-September. Garage Sale held the first Saturday in October.  Click here for more details.

Party in the Patch
A Halloween event hosted by Brentwood, Clayton and Richmond Heights, it is fun for the whole family. Hay rides, games and activities held at Clayton Shaw Park. Event held the third Friday in October. Pre-registration required; registration opens mid-August.  Click here for more details.

Nerf War
Lock and load the Nerf gun for this evening of family fun. Target practice, competitive games and nerf themed snacks included. All family members must register. Pre-registration required; registration opens mid-August.

Holiday Lighting
Come to THE HEIGHTS as we light up the night to welcome the holiday season. Admission is free and pre-registration is not required.

Family Trivia Night
Does your 1st grader know the names and characteristics of all the Batman villains? Did your 4th grader just learn all the state capitals? You’ll need your kid’s help in this family-friendly trivia night. Event held the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. All family members, 2+ must register. Pre-registration required; registration opens mid-August.

Letter to Santa
Drop a self-addressed, stamped envelope and letter to Santa in our special mailbox located in THE HEIGHTS lobby. Letters accepted mid-November through mid-December. 

Dine with the Clauses
Join the Clauses in this family fun breakfast with photo opportunities, crafts and activities. Event held the first Saturday in December.  All family members, 2+ must register. Pre-registration required; registration opens mid-August.

Claus and Paws
Bring your furry friend to see Santa and get a photo taken. Event held the beginning of December. Pre-registration required; registration opens mid-August.

The Grinch's Candy Cane Hunt
Santa’s reindeer have been busy dropping candy canes and some candy canes have special prizes attached. Hunt quickly as the Grinch will be trying to snatch the candy canes. Event held mid-December. Pre-registration required; registration opens mid-August.

Noon Year's Eve Party
Grab the family and help us countdown to Noon on New Year’s Eve. Games, activities, and a balloon drop included. All family members, 2+ must register. Event held on New Year’s Eve. Pre-registration required; registration opens mid-August.
